She Has Fallen Off The Cliff

As I write this, Nina lays quietly sleeping but today was not a peaceful day!

Today Nina fell off the cliff.

Today we fell off the cliff.

Today was the day we have all been praying would not come.

Today hour by hour Nina slipped further and further away from us.

Today Nina started having major difficulties breathing.

Today Nina can barely swallow.

Today Nina said that her spit was stuck in her neck (the worst possible indicator!).

Today death planted his hideous, monstrous being next to my precious daughter.

Today I am dying slowing myself!

  3. My family is praying for you along with everyone else, my friends in Christ. We're praying for God's peace for Nina and all of you. Our hearts are wrenching with you. We're praying Revelations 21:3-4, that God will with you and wipe away all the tears your crying until you all meet again in Paradise. God's peace to you all.

  4. Sweet Mommy, feel the love of God holding you closer than He has ever held you before. Feel the power of that love infusing you with supernatural strength, for when you are weak, He will be your strength. God is there and will not leave your side. He is with Nina. He will not leave her side. Sweet Mommy, feel the prayers of those who are strangers in the flesh but family in the Spirit surrounding you. We will hold up your arms in prayer. May that give you strength. We will hold your little girl in prayer. For as long as it takes, we will continue to pray and believe for a miracle. Our love is pouring out to you. We stand with you in faith.

  12. Although we have never met, we, too, are walking the unbearable road of losing a child. We have heard so much of your sweet daughter and your loving family from mutual Santa Barbara friends. To know you are facing Nina's final days is unimaginable and we are so, so deeply sorry. Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Sincerely, Victoria, Bill and Gwendolyn Strong

  13. He is there to catch you as you fall off the cliff.
    Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.
May our God's strength and peace invade and surround you as you walk through this dark valley. We pray without ceasing for all of you.

  14. Dear Rosy,
Nina has been in my thoughts all day and I have been praying. So many times today I checked your blog, and when there were no updates, I went back to the beginning and read through several entries and gazed at the pictures of your lovely family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God is with you. He is with Nina, and Teddy and Todd. He is your strength through this deep trial. He cries with you.

    Many prayers and hugs,
    Lynne
