Keep your friends close but your enemies closer! |
Our lives have been completely turned upside down!! There is absolutely no doubt about that! But even when you're swirling around in the madness, life in all its forms is still present.
Almost two weeks ago we added Max the kitten to our lives. This addition was to Nina's delight and our dog Mel's horror! As if being anxious wasn't bad enough, now Mel had to contend with a 4 pound ball of fur intimidating her day and night. Unbelievably, Teddy took it totally upon himself to gradually desensitize the cat and dog. This was totally and spontaneously his idea. The boy is a budding behaviorist! He literally used exposure to get the cat and dog to be calm with one another. By the end of the first week, he had them nose-to-nose. I kid you not!!! We were amazed!
Now, we find ourselves living in the "animal house" where pretty much all rules and expectations of normalcy have been thrown out the door. As I've mentioned to my friends, you can't make this stuff up!

Hilarious! You will be surprised at how Mel and Max will become best of friends. That is evident if after only two weeks the are laying on the mattress together. I speak out of experience! :-)
